Become a Knowlege Broker

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Keith Ferrazzi’s Blog, Never Eat Alone, is a great source of networking tips. For Thanksgiving, Keith lists some of his top tips. Tip #3 strikes at the heart of what we are trying to do.

Tip #3. Become a knowledge broker: Share information, by blog, by email, by Twitter, over lunch or however else. But in particular, focus on sharing information that helps people solve problems… Never Eat Alone - Thanksgiving Special

Using Zentact helps you become a knowledge broker by providing insight, allowing you to gather context and making the sharing of information easy.

  • Insight is provided by making you aware of all of the relevant information on web pages you are browsing
  • Context is gained by insuring that the relationship betweens your network and the information is exposed
  • Sharing is simply a click away via either twitter or email

Happy Thanksgiving!

Increasing the value of LinkedIN

Monday, November 24th, 2008

I have 255 connections on LinkedIN. Glancing through the list, probably 50% of the most important contacts I haven’t touched base with in at least a year - some probably two or three years. Zentact is helping solve this problem by making it easy for me to stay in touch.

You can leverage this functionality as well. To do this, the first step is to add contacts from LinkedIN . On the right hand column of LinkedIN, Look for the “Add to Zentact” Link. You can find it between “Send a message” and “Recommend this person”. It will only appear on first degree contacts.

Next step, add tags. Companies, interests and schools all work well. Personal connections work even better.

Then just browse the web. When a match is found, you can reach out in one click.

Importing Contacts

Monday, November 24th, 2008

With the last release, we have added the ability to import contacts from various email services. The process is simple. Just click import contacts, choose a service, log in and away you go.

Contacts are automatically added into Zentact. You can find them in your contacts. New contacts will have zero tags - [0 tags] - and will be marked with a red dot indicating you have not contacted them. To add tags, just click on a contact.

Even without tags, we will alert you of an opportunity to connect based on your contacts first and last name.

So go, Network Better!
